Angela Prew spent her early childhood in the Middle East, coming to the Cape in 1941 as a result of the Desert War. She moved to England when she married and trained as a teacher, specialising in English and Remedial Teaching.
She returned to the Cape after 25 years when her mother was ill and divided her time between England and the Cape for the next ten years, coming to live full-time after taking early retirement. She taught part-time in a Boys’ Home in Langa and did a certain amount of coaching in English and Maths but is now fully retired and indulging herself in writing poetry and prose.
